Bendigo Heritage Attractions Foundation supports the substantial work involved in preserving Bendigo's most significant heritage sites, while also enhancing our visitors' experiences.

“Bendigo and its rich history goes to the core fabric of the creation of both Victoria and Australia. Above all else the essence of the historical aspects of Bendigo must be enhanced and maintained. I commend all involved with the Bendigo Heritage Attractions Foundation and with the grand dynamic to ensure a balanced Bendigo for future generations and I urge all to step up to this cause” – Tim Fischer AC

The Bendigo Heritage Attractions Foundation, allows for a number of special initiatives and projects to be pursued that would not otherwise be possible within the normal day-to-day operations of Bendigo Heritage Attractions. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Restoring, maintaining and acquiring trams for Bendigo's historic Vintage Talking Tram fleet, and expanding the capacity of the Bendigo Tramways Depot & Workshop.
  • Expanding the scope of the underground workings at Central Deborah Gold Mine for tour development and education programs.
  • Growing the fascinating collection of Chinese artefacts which are on display at the Bendigo Joss House Temple.

You can help us achieve our goals by supporting the Bendigo Heritage Attractions Foundation, in a number of ways:

  • Purchase a copy of Bendigo through time, all proceeds go to the Bendigo Heritage Attractions Foundation. Written by Mike Butcher and Yolande Collins, with photography by Richard Gibbs, Bendigo through time offers readers a fascinating insight into the history of Bendigo's architecture. Bendigo through time is available from our Gift Shops at Central Deborah Gold Mine, Bendigo Tramways or the Bendigo Joss House Temple.
