What we need to know to make your booking
- Which tour/s you would like to participate in. Choose from these great experiences.
- Which days you would like to visit. It is best to have a couple of dates in mind, just in case we already have another group booked in.
- What time of day you would like to visit.
- What year level your students are in.
- How many students you would like to bring.
- How many teachers will be accompanying your students.
- If there is a specific topic that you would like us to focus the tours towards. Eg: gold history, geology, mining methods or a general overview.
- If you have any students in your group with special requirements. This can include an aversion to loud noises, claustrophobia, food intolerances, wheelchairs, short attention spans and English not a first language. This helps us to deliver the best tour possible for your group.
- Your phone number and email address so that we can contact you.
Payment Options
We are pretty flexible when it comes to how you would like to pay for your group tours. You can pay in advance, on the day or we can send you an invoice after your visit. We accept cash when paying on the day, credit card or direct transfer.
Booking Terms and Conditions
- Advanced booking is essential for groups.
- Group rates apply for groups of 10 people and over. Check out the group prices here.
- Final numbers must be confirmed within one week of the visit and will be invoiced accordingly. This will be the minimum payment expected. We reserve the right to invoice for additional participants or activities after the visit.
- Special needs groups: Carers receive free entry (discounted entry on the Underground Adventure and Nine Levels of Darkness Tours).
- Tour operators and coach drivers receive free entry.
- Teachers (at a ratio of 1:10 not part thereof) receive free entry.
How to change your booking
All bookings are considered confirmed once a booking confirmation has been sent. Amendments and cancellations are required in writing to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or by phone (03) 5433 8255, at least five days prior to your visit. We will phone before your visit to confirm final numbers.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received within five days of the tour date will be fully refunded. Cancellations received between 2-5 days of the tour date will be charged a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 48 hours of the tour date will be charged the full amount for the tour.
What to do on the day of your visit
- Print out the maps and site plans below, so you know where you’re going.
- Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time, to allow for toilet breaks.
- Bring along your Booking Confirmation.
- Let our staff at reception know your group numbers for the day.
